Here are some steps you should follow to make your pregnancy sound and to maintain your health and your fetus’s health:

  1. Eat folic acid continuously, it protects the child’s marrow and nerves from any abnormalities that may occur to him.
  2. Follow a healthy diet based on vegetables, fruits, bread, and starch as much as possible.
  3. Drink plenty of water so you do not get constipation in pregnancy, especially in the first months and this is the problem experienced by many women, especially in the first three months.
  4. You can diversify by drinking natural juices which are very useful for you.
  5. Always drink milk. If you do not want to drink milk, you can replace it with a cup of milk or milkshake. You can also add some natural juices to the milk to enjoy a cup of fresh fruit.
  6. Try to eat fish once or twice a week. It is one of the best foods to contain omega-3, and its protein and iodine, and you can eat sardines and tuna after the oil.
  7. Reduce the caffeine and only a small cup if necessary, and if you are a smoker try to quit, especially the first three months.
  8. Avoid chemicals and hair dyes for the first three months.
  9. Try to reduce salt and sugar in your food during pregnancy so as to avoid the sudden increase in pressure, fluid retention and swelling of the feet, and high sugar called sugar of pregnancy.
  10. Start with moisturizing your skin, especially the abdomen and buttocks after the third month to avoid any type of stretch marks, and you can adopt a medical cream prescribed by your doctor.
