Low blood pressure is one of the most common vascular diseases affecting women and men, and there is a decrease in pressure when it is less than 60/90 mm Hg; the systolic pressure of the heart muscle is less than 90 mm Hg. It is called diastolic pressure – less than 60 mmHg.

Caution should be made of lower blood pressure in the arteries, as it can lead to fatigue, dizziness and fainting that can cause serious injuries if a person falls heavily such as: blows to the head that may lead to death.

Symptoms of low blood pressure

  • Vision distortion.
  • Nausea.
  • Drowsiness.
  • General weakness.
  • Feeling dizzy and fainting.
  • Breathing very quickly.
  • Change skin color to blue or pale skin, and the skin becomes cold with extreme sweating.
  • Extreme thirst.

Causes of low blood pressure

  • Pregnancy.
  • Drought in the body; in the case of loss of body fluids there is a decrease in blood pressure.
  • The occurrence of disorders of the nervous system, or heart diseases such as: heart attack and heart failure.
  • Endocrine disorders, such as: thyroid disorder.
  • Side effects of some types of medications.
  • Some psychological incidents that may affect a person such as some sad news.

Low pressure treatment methods

  • The reason for low pressure should be determined in order to use appropriate treatment of the condition.
  • Wear comfortable loose clothing and keep away from the stressful clothes that hinder blood circulation.
  • Drinking water in which the salt is soluble is difficult because the sodium works to raise blood pressure.
  • Stay away from stress, fatigue and stress, all work to reduce blood pressure.
  • Drink beverages that contain caffeine, such as coffee and tea, as caffeine helps raise blood pressure.
  • Stay away from standing for long periods or standing abruptly; you should wait a little before standing up, especially in the morning when waking up from sleep.
  • Eat juices such as: lemon juice, carrot juice; it works to improve blood circulation, thus eliminating the low blood.
  • Focus on eating foods rich in vitamin B, adding rosemary to foods, and putting pepper, turmeric and ginger on food to increase blood flow.
  • Avoid taking any type of medication without consulting your doctor. These drugs may have side effects that help lower your blood pressure.
  • Drink plenty of water; water helps to rid the body of the condition of drought that may suffer, and thus get rid of low pressure, and restore balance to the body, and thus regulate the pressure of blood flow in the arteries.
  • Check with your doctor to assess the condition and prescribe appropriate medications.
