Tips for treating gout
- Use medicines and alternative medicine.
- Use cold water compresses on the affected joint; it is useful in relieving pain and swelling.
- Encourage yourself to move, and stay away from laziness only when the case of acute seizure; it is recommended rest and non-movement of the joint injured.
- Avoid drugs that cause an increase in uric acid in the blood.
- Perform an analysis of uric acid in the blood every 6 months.
- Folic acid; it works to inhibit the action of the enzyme (xanthine oxidase), which is responsible for the production of the body of uric acid.
- Eat vitamin E; it is anti-inflammatory, and is prescribed a dose of 400-800 IU daily.
- Eliminate excess weight to lower uric acid in the bloodstream, avoid strict dieting to lose weight, and maintain your ideal weight.
- Eat large amounts of clean water; fluids promote the output of uric acid
- Eat uncooked fruits and vegetables for two weeks when gout occurs.
- Eating juices are useful, the best of which is frozen or fresh cherry juice, and celery juice diluted with distilled water.
- Eat lots of cherries and strawberries; they are equivalent to uric acid.
- Eat cereals, seeds and nuts.
- Eat a diet that lacks pyurines all the time; valorins are the organic compounds that contribute to the formation of uric acid. Foods rich in boron are: anchovies, asparagus, meat broth, spice, meat sauces, meat extract, raisin, mussels, sardines, calf pancreas or pregnancy.
- Do not take alcohol; they increase uric acid, and this acid should be avoided completely.
- Do not eat any fried foods, roasted nuts, or any other foods that contain oil; when the oil becomes rancid, and obese fat destroys vitamin E resulting in increased amounts of uric acid produced.
- Avoid fatty foods such as cakes and pancakes, and do not eat white flour.
- Reduce your intake of caffeine, broccoli, beans, or dried beans, lentils, fish, eggs, oatmeal, peas, chicken, spinach, and yeast products.
