Before talking about the treatment of this injury, it is necessary to talk about ways to prevent them, and in short we can put prevention with simple points, the most important of which:
1 – maintain a deep breathing, because it provides the body with a large amount of oxygen needed by the muscle to prevent convulsions or constriction involuntarily.
2 – Drink plenty of fluids and in abundance, especially those who sweat heavily, because this will balance the body, prevent the lack of fluids and thus the deposition of calcium in the muscle, which prevents its severe contraction irreversibly.
3 – Exposure to the sun is not harmful, enough, in order to form vitamin (d), as one of the causes of muscle spasm and involuntary contraction is the lack of this vitamin.
4 – muscle preparation before doing any physical activity requires an effort, which is the term used by athletes in the process of warm-up, and the formation of muscle tension and relaxation through simple exercises.
• Methods of Treatment :
A – Natural treatment methods without medical intervention:
The method of treatment depends on the area of injury, and can be divided as follows:
1. Leg muscle: Hold the entire body on the affected leg, bend the knees slowly. This is in the case of being able to stand, but in the case of inability to stand, it is possible to tighten the leg backwards, taking into account that the leg is upright.
2 – Thigh area: The injury in the groin is a feeling of severe pain with the loss of focus on the area of injury, and can be followed for treatment:
– Sit on something as high as the chair to relax the muscle.
– Pull the foot towards the injured thigh and then tighten it towards the buttocks
– Put snow on the affected area to relax the muscle, and then put warm water to avoid pain.
3 – massage to the area of injury to any oil or fatty.
Medical intervention for treatment:
We seek medical treatment or a doctor in case of muscle strain if:
1 – previous treatments did not succeed and did not ease the pain, and continued pain for 24 hours
2 – If we heard a voice issued from the muscle area.
3. If the swelling is increasing or the pain increases.
4 – If the temperature of the injured.
5. If there is a definite hemorrhage from the injury area.
Medical intervention: Medical intervention is very similar to physical therapy, but the doctor can limit the stressful activities of the muscle, and can diagnose the injury better, and therefore determine the source and cause of the injury accurately, is a muscle strain really or is another reason.
