Burns
Many people get burns in various parts of the body due to exposure to harmful sunlight for several hours continuously, fire or water spills on one of the body’s areas. Burning degrees may vary in first, second and third degrees. In this article we will talk about methods of treating second degree burns as well as some tips.
Treatment of second degree burns
Egg whites
- Whites beat two eggs well.
- Rub the affected areas with eggs, and leave them to dry completely, knowing that egg whites can be mixed with a little oats for faster and more effective results.
Honey
- Mix equal amount of honey and Vaseline.
- Apply the mixture to the affected area twice a day until the burned skin is removed.
Watercress
- Grind a handful of watercress with a small onion, and a little strawberry leaves.
- Put the mixture in a bowl, add a little flaxseed oil, and put on fire and leave for a few minutes.
- Apply the mixture in a piece of cloth, and then apply to the affected areas.
Sesame oil
- Dip a piece of cotton with salt water.
- Wipe the affected area with a piece of cotton and then sesame oil. This process can be repeated several times a day until the burns are fully treated.
Castor oil
- Equal amounts of castor oil and lemon juice are placed in a sterile bottle.
- Tread the bottle until the ingredients overlap.
- Place a little mixture on a piece of cotton and paint the affected area.
- Leave the mixture on the skin for at least an hour and a half, then wash with warm water and this process can be repeated daily.
henna
- Place four teaspoons of henna powder in a bowl and add an equal amount of wheat flour.
- Mix the ingredients together and add a cup of olive oil.
- Mix the ingredients until they overlap and apply the mixture to the affected areas, leaving for at least one hour, and this process can be repeated daily.
Wheat bran and honey
- Six tablespoons of natural honey are placed in a bowl.
- Add a tablespoon of wheat bran to honey, and mix the ingredients together until a paste is formed.
- Place the paste on the burned skin areas, leave for at least an hour, then wash with cold water where this process can be repeated daily to get rid of the burn completely.
Tips for treating second degree burns
- Remove clothes from areas that have been burned.
- Clean the infected area well, apply the antibiotic on it, and cover it with a piece of gauze.
- Take sedatives.
- Put moist ointments on affected areas to prevent them from being dehydrated.
