The most common among infants is coughing , And cough may come accompanied by some diseases, such as cold or cold, but it often appears alone without any other symptoms, accompanied by the accumulation of sputum in the respiratory system of the child, cough is the only way to remove the phlegm from the body feeling comfortable.

Methods of cough treatment for infants

Doctors often avoid prescribing medicines to infants even in cases of illness, in order to avoid the side effects that may harm the infant and other problems we need, except in cases of coughing intractable, where the doctor to follow the treatment of medicines to keep the infant trick, and the only available treatment Is to follow the traditional and household ways to get rid of cough, it is these methods.

olive oil

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was quoted as saying that he used to drink olive oil from diseases through fat or eating. Olive oil can be used to treat infant cough through one of the following methods:

  • Warm the olive oil and massage the baby’s chest from bottom to top to help remove the sputum from it.
  • Pour a few drops of olive oil into the baby’s mouth.
  • Cut a sheet of newspaper according to the size of the baby’s chest, and olive oil, and then warmed a little on the heat of low gas, and placed on the baby’s chest under his clothes all night.

One or more of the previous methods can be repeated daily until the baby has stopped coughing.

Fumigation

The baby’s inhalation of hot fumes helps to expel phlegm from the lungs and the lobe to the outside of the body by following one of the following methods:

  • Vaporizers Vaporizers are available in pharmacies with their own saline. Their principle is to put the saline in the device with an electrostatic connection, so that it evaporates up towards the tube that is fixed on the baby’s nose, leaving the child inhaling the largest part of the steam.
  • The steaming steam of anise or chamomile helps relieve coughs by boiling a large bowl of chamomile with a covered lid to keep the steam, and then lifting the lid and bringing the baby closer to avoid inhaling as much of the chamomile.
  • The bathroom is hot, so by letting the hot water open in the bathroom, so the water vapor fills the bathroom, introducing the baby baby into the bathroom for a while.
