- The room should be equipped with everything you need, including comfortable bed, attractive covers, harmless games, room safety and good lighting. It is best to choose the color of the room as the child likes and add the drawings and stickers that encourage the child to stay in the room.
- If the child is big and aware of what around him, the parents should try to make him understand the reason why they make him sleep in his room, and must be in understandable language and love; because coercion may cause the child psychological contract later.
- The child may need help factors that induce him to sleep in his room, such as his mother takes him to bed and reads stories, or sleeps beside him to sleep, or watching movies that encourage the child to sleep alone in his room, and use the method of rewards and prizes every time the child sleeps alone In his room.
- The child is moved to his / her room gradually and not moved suddenly;
- The child should not be punished if he asks to sleep in his parents’ room for some days or sneaks to it during the night; because he may be afraid of nightmares he dreams of, or he may imagine some scary things in the room, but the parents should not leave him to do what he wants; because it will be hard to make him sleep in his room later, the best method to deal with him is with serious and strict with grace and love.
