Methods for potty training

children

It is known that children are the adornment of the life, and without them we will not like life, and children go through many stages of rapid development, in all respects, whether physical or intellectual or mental and many others.

Parents play an important role in the development of the child, as they are most familiar with their children’s abilities and ways of dealing with them, and the methods of education that are consistent with the behaviors of their different children. It is also known that children have different grades and degrees of intelligence also. Mothers follow the best and most appropriate ways to teach their children and train them on all things, the most important of which is how to use the bathroom.

Teach the child to use the bathroom

We have mentioned earlier that children differ in their nature and behavior and how to receive instructions and new experiences in their lives, as the stage of training the child to use the bathroom, is one of the most important stages and the most difficult stages to parents.

However, this stage also provides benefits for the mother and father, by eliminating the use of diapers, and here is steps the mother should follow in her child’s education to use the bathroom:

Make sure your child is ready for training. This is one of the most important steps that a mother must follow. Children are different in their readiness to start training because there are children who start training at the age of two and are fully prepared.

There are other children who cannot start before the age of four, so the mother must choose the right time and make sure her child is ready, and you can tell by following his actions such as imitating adults in going to the bathroom, removing the diaper and other behaviors.

Prepare the tools for training:

By purchasing the special tools for using the bathroom, such as the potty, making sure to choose the right size for your child, and choose the colors that the child likes to use, or you can buy a special bath seat placed on the cabinet of the bathroom, which must be in bright and distinctive colors, and its preferable to buy the two tools, because you do not know what your child prefers to use more.

Make a routine daily: Make your child get used to the presence of potty somewhere.  Begin with putting him on the potty at a certain time of the day, and try to choose the period your child usually do a poo. Be patient because the child may refuse to sit completely and be stubbornly unacceptable to the idea, repeat trying at another time without violence or pressure, and do not feel scared or worried about the process.

Get rid of the diaper: Make your child sit on the potty without diaper, to begin to understand the process more clearly, where you can explain to him that adults do so, and you can play educational video for children who use the potty, as this will help you a lot, and try to control your nerves. Never use violence or shouting at the child, especially if your child is stubborn and aggressive.
