The tear from the secretion of the gland and tear the job is very important so as to moisturize the eye and clean it continuously adding to contain it sterilizing materials prevent inflammation of the eye. The excess tears from the need of the eye are discharged through the tear ducts which discharge the tears into the nose through the tear ducts as shown in the figure below.
The obstruction of the tear duct leads to the non-discharge of tears to the nose and thus keep the tears squeezed in the eye or begin to descend to the cheek with the need to be continuously, and the survival of this problem leads to frequent infections and formation of secretions and sometimes to severe inflammation and dizziness in the tear bag .
That the disease may be congenital or appear in adults.
Treatment in children:
- Treatment begins with a massage of the tear sac, and the massage continues until the child reaches the age of the first year.
- If massage does not work, simple surgical solutions are used to remove the tear duct.
- If it does not work, solutions similar to that of adults are used.
Treatment in adults:
- The treatment of this problem in adults is a process of conversion of the flow of tears to the nose with the cultivation of a temporary tube and it holds a high success rate and leave no trace and solve all the problems resulting from the blockage of the tear duct
