Remove new stains
Sugar
Sugar can be used to remove new tea stains by:
- Make a mixture of sugar and water, provided that the solution is saturated with sugar, which reaches a stage after which can not increase any additional amount of sugar, and can prepare this mix by continuing to add sugar and stirring until the process of melting, knowing that warm water facilitates dissolving sugar.
- Immerse the tea-stained area with sugar solution for a few minutes.
- Wash clothes piece as usual.
Laundry detergents
Tea stains can be easily removed from clothes using laundry detergents, by:
- Rinse the spot with cold water.
- Wash the spot using washing powder with water.
- Wash the clothing using a sodium hydrochloride if it is safe for the type of clothing stained.
Note: If the stains are old, they can be dissolved by soaking them with a solution containing the enzymes, and then washed in the washing machine.
Old spots
Glycerol
Old tea stains can be removed using glycerol, by:
- Rub the spot with glycerin from both sides using the fingers.
- Leave the glycerol on the spot for ten hours.
- Put the piece of clothing in a basin and immerse the spot with a powder containing sodium borate.
- Add boiled water, soak the clothing piece for half an hour.
- Wash clothes piece as usual.

Old tea stains can be removed using washing powder by:
- Blend the laundry powder containing sodium hydrochloric borate with water by 3 to 1.
- Rub the spot with the mixture.
- Leave the mixture on the spot for thirty minutes.
- Remove the putty, and repeat the process until the spot disappears.
- Wash the spot again with a cleaner containing the enzymes.
Additional tips
There are some useful tips for removing tea stains, including:
