Ink stains
The ink stains that affect clothes as a result of the use of various ink pens are one of the most difficult types of stains we deal with, especially when we fail most of the time to get rid of them using regular or automatic washing machines; although the ink is gone but its effects remain clear though; especially on white fabrics, or light color, so it requires special attention, and we find that the disposal process is an impossible task, and we will review the following are many of those possible and quick ways to get rid of these intractable spots, but it is necessary to test that product which we will use already in removing ink stains on some hidden places and small clothes to make sure of the result.
Ways to remove ink from clothes
METHOD OF REMOVING WATER BASED INKS
- We put the clothing on a wide piece of cloth or on a wide towel, so that it absorbs the water in the ink.
- Put a little of the cleaning powder on top of the contaminated spot, and we’ll rub it and let it go in a nice way.
- We then sprinkle a little water over the spot using sponge or any cloth, and we will notice the disintegration of the spot afterwards gradually.
- We wash clothes in a normal way, and use hot water, but prefer not to use hot water if the raw materials of those clothes thin and delicate.
Absorption method
The process of disposal of permanent ink stains is more difficult, unlike the stains that arise from the use of water-based inks that enter the water in its composition, but can be eliminated if treated with special care, through the use of some specialized materials available in markets or by resort to:
- We put nail polish remover on all soiled stain, because the nail polish absorbs ink.
- We spray the hair spray by brushing on all the soiled stains and letting it dry completely before putting it inside the washing machine. The spray has the property of absorbing ink up to 90% exactly as with nail polish.
A way of thin and sensitive clothes
Examples of such clothing include cotton, silk, and woolen clothing:
- Mix the amount of lemon juice with an equal amount of liquid detergent, and put the mixture on the soiled spots for a few hours in cold water.
- We use yogurt by placing it on soiled spots.
