Breast inflammation is known as a swelling of the breast tissue due to the obstruction of the ducts and lack of care. This inflammation is common among nursing mothers.

Symptoms of mastitis

  • Burning and redness of the breast.
  • Fever.
  • The presence of symptoms similar to influenza.

Diagnosis of mastitis

Diagnosis of breast inflammation depends on the appearance of signs and symptoms causing it, and is detected by clinical examination, or radiation examination, or that the doctor withdraw the tissue biopsy to make sure that there is no lumps and a tumor leading to cancer.

Treatment of breast inflammation

  • Drink liquids in large quantities.
  • Rest and non-stress of the body
  • Place hot water compresses on the breast.
  • Do not stop breastfeeding until the channels are not full.
  • Take some antibiotics.
  • Go to the doctor when the abscess is full of pus.
  • Massage milk in the breast by hand, and breastfeeding should continue in the breast until the proper abscess is met.
