Hair growth (female hair growth)

Hair growth (female hair growth)

What is masharaniyah?

Hair growth in the areas of distribution known to men (face – chest – mid – abdomen – lower back – the two seats – the introduction of the thighs)

the reasons:

1- Increase male hormones and their effect on hair:

Of the ovaries (the hormone testosterone is detected) or the two over the kidneys (adrenal glands) (DHA.S)
Conjunctivitis: irregular menstrual cycle – non-ovulation – infertility – increase the growth of the lining of the uterus healthy or malignant – acne – skin oily texture

2 – Polycystic ovaries:

Is associated with an increase in weight + dysfunction of hormones + acne + irregular cycle and may develop because of thick black skin patches on the neck
Severity: High blood pressure / diabetes / increased blood fat / arterial heart disease

3-tumors (ovaries and glands above the kidneys (adrenal)): rare – Almchranip usually abundant and surprising

4 – Increasing the production of adrenal: Not common because of an enzyme deficiency

5 – Medications: such as Danazol or some hormones and cortisones

6. Unknown reason:

Regular course (male hormone at normal rate). It may be due to the increased sensitivity of hair to male hormones, which are often family

Tests: Clinical Story + Clinical Examination: Very important

Caliber: Testosterone + DHEA.S + LH ratio to FSH + Insulin ratio to glucose

Treatment: Treatment of the disease if any

Removal of manual or automated hair, medications, electrolysis or laser (chosen for the patient / price / load)

Because of the longevity of hair in humans, we need treatment for at least 6 months and then the hair regrowth after the cessation of medication

Mechanical treatments:

Such as shaving, bleaching, fluffing, cutting and waxing. Inexpensive but painless but may irritate the skin temporarily or lead to inflammation of the hair follicles or some scars on the skin

Chemical removal: may irritate the skin

Electrolysis: Painful – takes time – expensive – not available everywhere

Laser: Available – moderately expensive – takes time

Drugs: Lower the rate of the male hormone, including:

Oral Contraception: First Treatment Line

Corticosteroids:

Similar Hormonal Anhydrous Hormones GnRHa: expensive – complex – side effects (including osteoporosis if used for a long time)
Drugs that increase insulin sensitivity: such as Metformin but the effectiveness is questionable
Antihypertensives: All are not allowed to be taken during pregnancy. They are:
Spironolactone has side effects (excessive urination / fatigue / headache / stomach upset / breast sensitivity) and therefore dose should be increased gradually
Cyproterone Acetate alone or with Spironolactone is effective
Flutamide with or without other drugs is effective. Rarely, liver damage occurs, so we use the lower dose and the liver
Finasteride is as effective but side effects are rare

Periodic progesterone: to reduce the menstrual cycle and prevent endometrial toxicity and the occurrence of tumors

Recommendations: weight loss – moderate daily exercise – healthy eating – smoking cessation – conventional removal – resorting to medication when needed – use of laser
