That the orb is an expression of the bone cavity inside the skull and this cavity contains the eye and around the muscles and nerves and blood vessels.
This cavity surrounds the upper part of the brain, the lower part of the inner nasal sinus, the inside of the inner pockets, and from the outside a bone cavity containing the musculoskeletal muscle.
That this sensitive area vulnerable to several diseases, including:
- Thyroid effects on the eye tissue (specifically eyelids, eye muscles, protrusions, and optic nerve).
- Chronic inflammation of the eye and tear.
- Acute bacterial infections result from the spread of infections from nearby sinuses.
- Hormones and benign fatty bags.
- Malignant tumors are either derived from the tissues of the orb or are spread from other parts of the body.
The goal of the surgery in the orb is as varied as mine:
- Just a process to take a biopsy from any mass in the orb.
- A procedure to remove the entire tumor or sac from the orb.
- Cosmetic surgery for the eye, such as repair of the case of bulimia resulting from diseases of the thyroid gland.
The method of eye plastic surgery in these operations is different from that used by brain surgeons to perform operations in the quarry through the brain and the attendant risks, the eye surgeon opts to enter the eye stone through physiological wounds, leaving no trace and the least possible risk , And examples of these wounds are as follows:
- Injury from the inside of the lower eyelid, and from this entrance is used to perform repairs to the lower wall fractures of the eye and to make any entrances to the lower part of the orb as in the figure below.
- The outer lower eyelid is injured by an external wound that moves 2 mm below the eyelashes. This wound is treated in a similar way and more flexible than the previous wound.
- Upper flap: This wound allows access to the upper part of the eye
- Injured by the conjunctiva of the eye: This wound provides access to deep parts in the eye socket and even access to the optic nerve and that by the temporary decomposition of one of the muscles of the eye sometimes and then re-muscle.
