Leprosy

Some of us have heard about this disease, and some of us have read the hadeeth narrated by Imam al-Bukhaari in his Saheeh and Ahmad in al-Musnad from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “He fled from al-Majdoom and fled from the lion.” And ordered us to avoid people infected with it to avoid infection with this serious disease, and here comes the question what is this disease? What is its seriousness? What are the ways of infection? And what treatment? And where is this world? Leprosy is a chronic granuloma that affects the peripheral nerves, skin and surface tissues, especially the membrane covering the lining of the nose from the inside. The disease ranges from slow development with numbness in the skin to a disease that causes deformities in the shape of the face. Which leads to fear of the patient from mixing with people because of its shape.

Leprosy is a contagious disease caused by leprosy mycobacteria. The disease may be transmitted by nasal spray or sneezing in some cases and in other cases directly through the skin. The incubation period ranges from two to seven years. The disease is divided into two parts: leprosy Leprosy and leprosy, both characterized by a rash, but leprosy is more severe, as it leads to thickening of the skin with bone fractures and facial deformities. The disease results in complications affecting the bone, nervous, eye and testicles in particular. , And its treatment is based on rifampicin.
