Massage Therapy

The massage that falls under the Bodywork Bodywork division involves moving the muscles and other soft tissues. It is useful in treating a wide range of health conditions including: muscle contraction and pain from wounds and headaches.

Stretching relieves pain in a number of ways: by improving muscle relaxation by increasing the lymphatic cycle, thus reducing inflammation, scattering scars and adhesions in tissues by improving blood flow to muscles, by improving fluid flow from the cavities

Massage is not recommended for everyone. Those who have suffered from inflammation of the veins, high blood pressure or blood vessel problems should not receive any kind of deep muscle massage that results in strong pressure.

Always stay in touch with your doctor to kill receiving a deep muscle massage. Massage should not be performed in inflamed areas or with people with cancer or infectious diseases

Different types of massage treatments are used. Each depends on a different theory and uses a specialized technique. The following bodywork systems represent some of the most common:

  • Deep tissue massage. Used to release chronic muscle pressure. Deep tissue massage is used with greater pressure on muscles deeper than traditional Swedish massage.
