Germ of the uterus
The infection caused by the infection of uterine germs is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases. It is caused by a bacteria called chlamydia tracomaitis. The cause of the large disease is that it does not cause symptoms in many cases during the early stages of the disease. It is believed to be healthy and infect others. This disease should not be underestimated; in some cases it may cause several complications, such as abortion and infertility.
Chlamydia infection is spread mainly through unsafe sex without the use of known prevention methods, and it is sufficient to contact the genitals of each other to transmit the disease. The disease may also be transmitted from the infected pregnant woman to her fetus at birth, so she must undergo certain tests to detect the chlamydia virus so that it can be treated before it is transferred to the fetus.
The incidence of chlamydia is high in adolescents, due to their cervical immaturity, which makes them more susceptible to infection, and increases the chances of getting infected with sex with more than one person, in addition to a patient with a sexually transmitted disease in the past. These bacteria may infect men as well, but infection rates are high in women. This disease affects women in several parts of the body, notably the cervix, in addition to the throat and rectum, parts of the large intestine. In men, infections may include throat, rectum and penis.
Symptoms of uterine germ
Chlamydia infection may not cause any symptoms in most cases, making the patient unaware of the infection and a source of infection. Treatment of uterine germ
Treatment of Chlamydia involves the treatment of antibiotics, working to cure most cases of infection, within a period of one to two weeks. In this case, doctors resort to either azithromycin or doxycycline, and these drugs are often administered in the form of tablets taken orally. In some cases, especially if the infection is severe or if the patient has complications of chlamydia infection, it may be necessary to introduce the patient to the hospital and give intravenous antibiotics, as well as painkillers, if necessary.
Some doctors may prescribe other antibiotics, such as amoxicillin or erythromycin, if the patient is allergic to the above-mentioned species or if the patient is pregnant or breastfeeding. The patient may feel several side effects of these drugs, such as the emergence of skin rash on the vagina, in addition to diarrhea and abdominal pain. Many doctors work on treating the patient’s partner as well, in order to prevent the spread of infection. People with chlamydia should have tests after three months of treatment to ensure that the disease is fully cured and should avoid sex until it is confirmed.
Complications of uterine germ
Anyone with the previous symptoms should go to a doctor to diagnose the disease and take the necessary treatment. If not treated properly, you may have complications of Chlamydia infection. The most important of these complications are the following:
- Pelvic inflammatory disease : This occurs when bacteria invade the uterus, ovary or fallopian tubes. The symptoms associated with the disease are similar to those of chlamydia. The disease may lead to other health problems, especially infertility, pain in the pelvic area, and increased risk of ectopic pregnancy.
- Increased chance of miscarriage if pregnant women become ill They may also give birth to children who are not fully developed, as well as the possibility that children will have an eye infection or pneumonia if the disease is transmitted to them.
- Testicular inflammation : This results in the swelling of the testicles, in addition to the feeling of acute pain in them.
- Suffering from arthritis, eye inflammation or urethritis , A channel that carries urine from the bladder to the outside. These infections result from chlamydia infection as well, and affect men more than women.
