Pain of the abdomen or colic affects the area extending from the bottom of the chest to the end of the trunk, which is often caused by the spread or constriction of the stomach, a pain suffered by many people, what are the causes? What are the methods of treatment?
Causes of abdominal pain
- Irritable bowel syndrome.
- Chronic constipation.
- PMS or menstrual pain in women.
- Sensitivity to certain foods and substances such as milk allergies and lactose intolerance.
- The presence of accumulated gases accompanied by severe abdominal pain.
- Infection of the stomach with various types of viruses.
- Intestinal acidity.
- Indigestion cases.
- The presence of inflammation in the appendicitis.
- The presence of inflammation of the gall bladder whether accompanied by stones or not.
- Infection with food poisoning.
- The person has a cold which causes severe abdominal pain and severe diarrhea.
- The presence of stones in the kidneys.
- Aneurysms occur in the blood vessels.
- Infection of parasites.
- The presence of inflammation in the pancreas or infections in the urinary tract.
- In cases of rupture of organs inflamed in the abdomen.
- Leaking fluid from the stomach to the abdomen.
- When the baby is infected with colic and pain in the abdomen, you should not fear because the pain will disappear when the gas or stool is gone.
- The presence of cancer in the ovary.
- Stress in the abdominal muscles.
- The occurrence of emotional problems cause colic and pain in the abdomen.
- Pneumonia or heart attack.
Methods of treatment of pain and abdominal cramps
- Refrain from eating solid foods and replacing them with liquids and beverages such as water, natural juice, and eating soups made of fresh vegetables.
- Place compresses of warm water on the abdominal area to get rid of convulsions.
- Take pain medication.
- Stay away from fried foods and foods that contain fat.
- Keep away from smoking especially during the period when the abdominal pain.
- Stay away from alcoholic beverages and beverages that contain caffeine such as: coffee, tea, anchovies, and other beverages that contain caffeine.
- Stay away from eating acidic foods such as tomatoes; they increase the intensity and severity of pain.
- Maintain regular and continuous exercise.
- Use cumin by eating a teaspoon of it, then drinking a glass of water.
- The use of white honey, where the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) commanded us to use it for healing.
- Drink a warm cup of aniseed boiled.
- Boil a tablespoon of the ring with a glass of water for three minutes and leave it to cool a little and then drink it warm.
- Eat coriander to get rid of bulges and indigestion.
- Use ginger to treat acute abdominal pain.
- Eat a pill or black bean with foods; they are very useful.
