What are fungi?
The fungus attacks the skin and causes infection of hair, nails and skin because it feeds on keratinized substances. These fungi colonize keratin tissues, and because of the body’s reaction to the secondary metabolites of fungus, infections are produced.
How to transfer fungus
These fungi are transmitted through direct or indirect contact with either a person or an animal with fungus. These fungi have the ability to survive for 15 months. This duration varies according to the type of fungus. The fungus is divided into three groups according to where they are located:
