Treatment of nasal haemorrhage

Blood hemorrhage is defined as the withdrawal of blood from the two openings of the nose. There are two types of bleeding: frontal bleeding, and back bleeding.

Causes of nasal bleeding

  • Hypertension.
  • Arteriosclerosis.
  • Increased venous pressure resulting from mitral valve constriction.
  • Humidity and heat of the air.
  • Use of some medications.
  • Painkillers, and head pain medication during the period of anemia.

Stop nasal bleeding

To stop nose bleeding it is recommended to follow several steps, the most important of which:

  • Remove gently clotting blood from both sides of the nose.
  • Sit on the chair and tilt the head forward rather than back.
  • Pressing all the soft parts of the nose through the thumb and forefinger, the pressure should be strong and not painful, and continue this situation for 10 minutes.

Treatment of nosebleeds with herbs

  • Use ointment or aloe vera gel if the nasal membranes are ulcerated and painful due to dryness.
  • Inhaling the bark of the oak; it affects positively and is useful in healing.
  • Massage nasal openings by using a small amount of ointment (Natureworks), a production of (Abkit), this treatment is used to reduce the recurrence of bleeding.
