Gases
Gases are the daily troublesome problems that all people face at different ages. Gases are the result of digestion in the large intestine where beneficial bacteria work to digest food absorption. Gases are generally released in the form of wind, causing discomfort and embarrassment to individuals. The normal gas output in men is from 14 to 25 times, and this rate varies among women. The rate of gas discharge in women ranges from 7 to 12 times, and the question here is what causes gas formation? How can they be avoided? What are the remedies?
Causes of gas formation
- Indirect air ingestion (belching) is one of the main causes of gases, and swallowing air by eating fast, chewing gum for long periods and smoking.
- There are many foods that increase the gas in the abdomen, including legumes (Homs, lentils and beans) to contain sugary substances such as: Rafinoz, sorbitol, fructose, and lactose, which increase the activity of bacteria in the large intestine.
- Coffee and carbonated water. Etc., and all that contains caffeine in general.
- Foods rich in insoluble fiber such as oats and potatoes.
- High-fat food and pans.
- Eat sweets that stay in your mouth for a long time (hard sweets).
- Eating cabbage and onions works on the formation of gases to contain the sulfur.
- Constipation gas may be caused.
- The inability of the body to absorb gluten contained in wheat, rice, etc. causes many problems, including gases. This condition is known as the sensitivity of wheat (celiac).
- It is possible that the cause of the gases is the sensitivity of some foods, as the sensitivity drives the intestine to get rid of these foods quickly and in any form produced by the gases.
- People with NCD often have gas, especially in the evening.
Treatment of gases
