Who has not visited the dentist all his life? And those of us have not heard of decay before
In this article, we identify the decay, what is the nerve decay, and how the nerve is filled.
Each of us has two sets of teeth. The permanent group consists of 32 years old and the white group consists of 20 years. It should be noted that at the age of six, the first permanent tooth appears in the human body and the entire teeth are replaced with permanent teeth.
Age Components:
1. The port is the outer layer of the crown of the tooth (the visible layer of age) and consists of 96% of the minerals.
2. The layer of ivory: It is a layer that contains less minerals and contains more organic matter than the port layer, and is found in both the crown and the root.
Both layers are solid layers.
3. The inner layer, or so-called pulp, is composed mostly of nerves, blood vessels and thin tissue, and also contains stem cells.
tooth decay:
Dental caries is a bacterial infection caused by a special type of bacteria found in the human mouth.
Caries needs four factors to happen:
1. The presence of bacteria.
2. Food suitable for the growth of bacteria.
3. Surface suitable for adhesion of bacteria (age surface)
4. Time.
And if controlling one of these factors can stop the development of decay.
At the beginning of caries, caries is confined to the port layer and with time passes through the layer of ivory until it reaches the nerve and in this case the nerve filling is done.
neuritis: Neuritis is one of the most common infections among people, and inflammation is divided into two parts:
Retrograde neuritis: When the inflammation has reached a state where the human immune system can control and stop this infection and in this case there is no need for the dentist to remove the nerve and put the filling and here the pain is described as intermittent.
Non-retrofessional neuritis: It is the inflammation that occurs when the infection reaches a degree that the immune system can not control and ends with the death of the nerve and surrounding cells. In this case, there must be intervention by the doctor to remove the dead cells, which the body considers strange cells and clean the cavity of the tooth and sterilization and the placement of nerve filling in the end to prevent any re-infection.
Nerve filling:
The filling is conical and has multiple measurements to suit the size of the root of the teeth, so the doctor must be a scientist measuring the root of the tooth before choosing the appropriate filling. Here we must mention that the process of measuring the length of the roots of teeth is very accurate process measured in millimeters.
Steps of filling the nerve:
1. Anesthetize the patient in the area where the nerve is to be filled.
2. Caries should be removed in the outer layers completely to prevent any decay or bacteria from re-entering the inner layer of the tooth.
3. After making sure that the tooth has been cleaned the nerve is broken.
4. Fine tools called the files are used to clean the root of the tooth in a mechanical way. A chemical method is used to use the hypochlorite in most cases.
5. After the nerve has been completely cleaned here, more than one cone is used to fill the nerve to fill any vacuum or gap to ensure that the entire tooth has been tightened.
6. After the operation is done, an outer padding is placed in the space where the vacuum has been drilled. It is advised that the nerve filling is done to cover the tooth or the so-called crown to maintain the function of the medical age.
