Ectopic pregnancy
Ectopic pregnancy is a defect in the normal pregnancy path. Instead of completing the egg after fertilizing it into the uterus to implant it, the fetus completes its development until birth. The egg is implanted in a fallopian tube and continues to divide and grow there, and there is no place suitable for the growth of the fetus only the uterus, and the growth of the fetus outside causes many problems and often this pregnancy does not continue, and it can be dangerous to the life of the mother.
Causes of ectopic pregnancy
There are several different causes of an ectopic pregnancy:
- Use of uterine contraceptives.
- Exposure to DHT.
- Fallopian tube surgery.
- Damage to the cilia of the Fallopian tube.
- Pelvic inflammation.
- Endometriosis.
- Smoking.
- Ashraman syndrome and the resulting uterine adhesions.
- The female is exposed to the diethyline and is still in her mother’s womb.
Treatment of ectopic pregnancy
The woman may develop the possibility of having an ectopic pregnancy when a positive pregnancy test is shown, with severe abdominal pain, and can be accompanied by vaginal bleeding. To make sure, consult your doctor for radiographs, and then seek treatment when it is confirmed.
- Medication: Methotrexate, a folic acid antagonist that prevents the proliferation of cellular cells and thus prevents fetal growth, makes the body absorb its components, or dispose of them with the menstrual cycle. It is used when early ectopic pregnancy is detected, but the medicine has many caveats, which all women can not take, especially if the woman has had problems with the proportions of blood components, whether white sheets or cells, or liver problems, and it weakens the immunity of the body.
- Surgical intervention: The incision of the abdomen, or the introduction of a laparoscope to remove the ectopic pregnancy in the event of bleeding begins, and there are two options for surgical intervention, either the doctor to open the fallopian tube and the removal of the fetus formed inside, or to eradicate the entire tube, and the great damage caused by this pregnancy.
Successful cases of ectopic pregnancy
There are very few and limited cases of ectopic pregnancy, resulting in live births, and there are several examples of pregnancy in the ovary, and another in the abdominal cavity, and the fetus was linked to fat that covers the large intestine, and this situation occurs in the other mammals, but particular care is taken to remove the fetus at the time of birth, which is often caesarean.
