How To Know Pregnancy Nausea

Nausea pregnancy

Most pregnant women suffer from pregnancy sickness, also called morning sickness, and may be accompanied by vomiting or without. This nausea usually begins in the first four weeks of pregnancy and beyond, and may begin before this time in some women, and is not associated with the morning; it may occur at any time during the day or night. While pregnancy sickness may affect some women and others do not, the main cause of the pregnancy is still unclear.

Cause of pregnancy nausea

There is no specific cause of pregnancy nausea, but it is believed that a range of factors may be the cause of the feeling of pregnancy nausea, including:

  • Pregnancy hormone (HCG) and estrogen hormone: It is not entirely clear how hormones affect pregnancy nausea, but are thought to increase the incidence of nausea; because of high levels rapidly at the beginning of pregnancy.
  • Increase the sense of smell and odor sensitivity.
  • The sensitivity of the digestive system in some women to pregnancy changes.
  • Tension: Some researchers believe that some women have psychological susceptibility to nausea and vomiting during pregnancy as an abnormal response to stress and tension.

Control of nausea

Some suggestions for dealing with pregnancy nausea include:

  • Keep away from using medicines as much as possible, except for those prescribed by your doctor.
  • Eat some sweet or salty biscuit chips before getting up from bed in the morning.
  • It is advised not to eat any of the tomatoes that are thought to cause nausea, and eating carbohydrates may help to overcome it.
  • Eat snacks constantly; to avoid leaving the stomach empty and excite nausea.
  • Drink as much fluids as possible.
  • It is good to wear loose clothes especially those that do not press the abdominal area.
