- Shortness of breath is often caused by exposure to irritants

Symptoms and signs worsen overnight in asthmatics, while weekend symptoms and holidays improve in patients with occupational asthma.
In severe cases, the patient can not complete a sentence in the same one as well as the discoloration and increase in the rate of breathing and pulse and the patient’s chest is silent and may lead to coma due to lack of oxygen and increase the carbon dioxide in the blood.
Clinical Asthma Sections
- Intermittent asthma: Symptoms are twice or less during a week, but symptoms are at night twice or less a month
- Chronic mild asthma: Symptoms are more than twice a week but not daily, but symptoms at night are three or four times a month.
- Continuous asthma: Symptoms are daily, but symptoms at night are more than once a week, but not every night.
- Persistent severe asthma: The symptoms are daily and frequently, but symptoms at night are repeated every night.
