What is coughing
Frequent coughing is a persistent disease that lasts for more than twenty days. It is a common disease in young children, which leads to frequent reluctance of the parents to be hospitalized. The cough is a reflex compound that starts by stimulating receptors in the respiratory tract, lungs, pharynx, sinuses and ear canal. The external ends through the rapid flow of the airway in the trachea, and the functions of the cough that it expels alien objects, bacteria and phlegm from the respiratory tract.
Signs of severe recurrent cough
1 – the occurrence of fever on a continuous basis.
2 – general fatigue and inability to exert effort.
3. Lack of weight gain.
4 – when it comes out of a mine that is yellow or water-like.
5- When the chest is photographed and the results are not correct.
6 – when you feel that the fingers have a thick and fluffy texture.
7 – when there are some cases of chronic pulmonary disease in the family.
Types and characteristics of cough
– The duration of the cough: Frequent persistent cough lasts for more than 3 weeks.
– The onset of cough during the day: When a person feels cough at night, often caused by asthma or may be due to excessive acidity in the esophagus. The cough that goes during sleep may be an ordinary cough or a psychological condition.
– The factors that increase the cough: The cough that increases when the work of physical effort or when exposed to cigarette smoke, or moisture, or exposure to cold air, may be evidence of asthma. If the cough increases during eating, it may be due to the intake of food or stomach acids through the trachea.
– The characteristics of cough: In relation to cough, which is produced after the excitation of the upper respiratory tract due to bacterial infection, or foreign bodies, or the presence of some congenital defects in the respiratory tract. If coughing is a noisy copper, this cough may be common.
– The cough that is associated with the sputum: through which the recognition of certain diseases such as asthma or diseases that affect the walls of the airways, such as sensory impairment.
– The pertussis: cough appears through seizures, accompanied by redness of the face and vomiting, and may continue coughing from (2-6) months.
