Causes of dry skin
The skin may be dry since birth, and it occurs because of genetic characteristics acquired by parents, and in some cases the injury is acquired for several reasons, such as:
- The occurrence of problems in the body, such as: a defect in the secretion of the thyroid gland or sebaceous glands.
- Excessive use of hot water when bathing or washing the skin.
- Use of shampoos, soaps and facial cleansers that contain chemicals that dry the skin.
- Lack of drinking water and thus decrease the amount of water in the body and injury to the skin dry.
- Do not eat healthy food that provides the skin with the necessary nutrients for moisturizing.
Dry Skin Care Methods
Dry skin needs a lot of constant care to rejuvenate and moisturize it, and protect it from the appearance of wrinkles and signs of aging, and these methods:
- Eat healthy food that contains fresh vegetables and fruits that provide the skin with the elements necessary for renewal and moisturizing.
- Drink water in sufficient quantities to protect your body cells from dehydration, including skin cells.
- Exercise that stimulates blood circulation, helps the body to get rid of toxins that cause damage to dry skin.
- Use moisturizing creams constantly and especially before bedtime.
- Keep away from using hot water in washing, replacing it with lukewarm water closest to cold.
- Stay away from sun exposure for long periods, without using a solar condom, and most periods that cause droughts are afternoon.
- Use natural mixtures and masseurs to moisturize the skin and protect against dehydration, such as: Mix olive oil with bitter almond oil, mix the cucumber juice with honey, and can substitute juice of choice with oats or yogurt.
