Methods of moisturizing dry skin
Use of refreshments
Moisturizers help prevent skin dryness and retain skin moisture by:
- Moisturizers prevent evaporation of water from the skin.
- Water is drawn from the body’s deep tissue to the surface of the skin, thus giving moisture to the skin.
- Moisturizing compounds, such as monolaurine, help restore skin moisture, because they contain fatty molecules and protect the skin from various damage.
- Most moisturizers contain other beneficial ingredients for the skin, such as: alpha hydroxy acid, sunscreen, collagen and keratin; the latter provide the skin with protein, which helps to temporarily lift the face and thus reduce wrinkles.
Use of chamomile oil
Chamomile is used for all skin types. It is a calming agent that works to calm the rash. It is also a treatment for acne, inflammation, eczema and dry skin.
Use of mariame oil
It is used to reduce the inflammation associated with young people, and it also possesses antibacterial properties.
Moisturizing with almond oil
Dry skin can be treated with almond oil, as follows:
- Almond oil is a source of vitamin E, so it is the best moisturizer for dry skin.
- Almond oil contains antioxidant properties, which are important for the safety of the skin.
- Almond oil is a non-fat oil, so the skin absorbs it easily.
- Almond oil can massage on the body half an hour before bathing, after bathing you will notice how much skin moisture, and it is advised to do this once every day.
- Prefer to drink a glass of warm milk and add a teaspoon of almond oil before going to sleep, and this must be repeated every night, in order to enjoy healthy skin.
Note: Treatment with almond oil is not used for people who are allergic to almonds.
Tips to maintain skin moisture
Eat fruits and vegetables
It is recommended to take care of vegetables and fruits constantly, because it contains a large amount of water, vitamins, and various minerals, and antioxidants that maintain the health of the skin, and foods useful for the skin: olive oil, nuts, avocados, and others, which contain large amounts of Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E, which maintain skin smoothness, also help moisturize them.
Reduce stress and anxiety
Stress and chronic stress affect the health of the skin; it causes skin rash, dries the skin, and works to refine it. Stress can therefore be reduced by:
- Regular exercise as well as breathing exercises.
- Listen to the quiet music.
- Get some rest.
- Practice favorite hobbies.
Avoid exposure to sunlight
It is best to avoid exposing the skin to the summer sun, because of its negative effects on the skin, specifically dry skin. Therefore, before using the sunscreen, wear caps and long-sleeved clothes.
