Stages of sleep
Our brains pass when we sleep five stages, each stage has its own function, and the fifth stage is the stage of rapid eye movement, or dream stage, all these stages naturally human sleep cycle.
Each sleep cycle lasts from 90 to 100 minutes, and the person often reaches the depth during sleep during the third or fourth stage. At this stage it is difficult to wake the person because he is sleeping. If he wakes he feels dizzy for a few minutes. If they have trouble walking during sleep, they walk for 30 minutes.

Many people during their late night sleep experience a bad habit of walking. This habit affects the person’s life and surroundings. It is a common habit among different ages, especially children, which are usually inherited from the father or mother to the children.
People with this disease can walk around the house without realizing it, and do some harmful behavior such as sitting in dangerous places, going outside the house, doing some inappropriate behavior, and urinating anywhere without realizing that they have done anything.
Is sleepwalking harmful?
Sleepwalking is not harmful, but it may be dangerous for some children who do not realize what they are doing, such as walking on the edge of the window or going out of the house, which usually does not affect psychologically or emotionally because the person is unaware of what he does, Be caused psychologically or medically.

Dealing with the habit of walking during sleep

- Remove any bumps that may be in the house before bedtime so that it does not fall off.
- Put safety doors especially if the disease is a child.
- Make the person relax and listen to the music.
- Add siesta to the infected person’s program.
- Make a person sleep early, especially if he is a child.
- Helping the person get into the bathroom before bedtime, and not motivate him to drink fluids and caffeine.
