Steps to prepare shaving tools are as follows:
- Choosing the right razor: When choosing a razor, you should consider several things, namely the roughness of the hair, the texture of the skin, and the preferred shaving method is using traditional blades, or using electric shavers.
- Keep shaving tools clean and sharp: By washing it with cold water, and avoid using hot water; because it makes the blade wide, thus losing its effectiveness.
Preparing the face
The face can be prepared using the following steps:
- Shortening beard: If there is a long beard, it is important to shorten it by using hair scissors before starting shaving. The long beard severely hampers the shaving process.
- Facial Wash: Wash face to clean and prepare for shaving; to avoid inflammation and skin irritation.
- Facial moisturizing: Moisturizing the face with hot or warm water makes the skin and hair more supple, and opens the pores of the skin, thus facilitating the throat process.
- Application of shaving oil: Shaving oil is used to nourish the skin, and to facilitate the shaving process by making the blade easily slip on the skin, thus reducing the feeling of burning after shaving.

Chin can be shaved by following these steps:
- Start by shaving the sides of the face, because they are easier to handle, and this is done by moving the barber slowly on the face with the direction of hair growth, taking into account not to press firmly, the goal is cutting hair and not skin.
- Move to the most difficult spots, such as: the mustache area, down the lip, neck, and throat by extending the skin slightly to make the surface of the skin level, easy sliding shaver.
- Rinse face with cold water when finished, can put after shaving cream.
- Repeat the process depending on how fast the hair grows, usually the duration ranges from 1-3 days.
Electric Shavers
The use of the electric razor, or the traditional razor, is left to choose the same person. Some prefer electric razors because they are easier and faster. All you have to do is press the play button and move the tool, but on the other hand the blade gives a better, smoother shave.
